Chan Brothers Travel ushers in a bold new era of discovery with the upcoming Chan Brothers Wanderful Travel Fair, held from 11 to 13 July 2025 at Marina Square level 2 Central Atrium. The fair blends a celebratory lineup of 60th anniversary specials, flash deals and exclusive itineraries to far-flung destinations.
“As we mark our 60th year, “New Skies, New Stories” is a bold, visionary statement of where we are headed”, said Ms Chan Guat Cheng, Executive Director of Chan Brothers Travel. “The future of travel is about depth and meaning – it must deliver meaningful stories and effortless access to the unexpected. Our mission is clear – we are opening new doors and charting new routes to experience the world anew.”
Landmark MOU Broadens Access to Himalayan and Silk Road Frontiers
Underscoring this vision is a landmark Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) signed on 4 July 2025 between Chan Brothers Travel and Drukair Corporation, Bhutan’s national flag carrier. This exciting partnership will significantly expand chartered direct flights to both Bhutan and Uzbekistan over 2025 and 2026 by more than three times, marking a major leap from previous years. More than a logistical breakthrough, the strategic partnership also lays a foundation for a multi-pronged collaboration spanning exclusive product development and joint marketing campaigns alongside national tourism authorities. Signalling a bold step forward in regional connectivity and tourism collaboration, the MOU drew optimism from key figures at the signing ceremony.
Mr Tandi Wangchuk, Chief Executive Officer, Drukair Corporation remarked “The world of travel and tourism is changing. People are looking for authentic, exotic and exclusive destinations but are faced with time constraints and lack of direct flights to these places. Chan Brothers Travel through their charter services provide point-to-point travel bypassing the transit airports, saving time and yet providing comfortable travel experiences.”
“What Chan Brothers Travel does is very much what our tourism vision is all about – looking at regenerative, sustainable and high-value experiences,” noted Mr Damcho Rinzin, Director, Department of Tourism, National Tourism Office of the Kingdom of Bhutan. “Bhutan focuses on regenerative tourism; we want tourism to make the country better, we want to make the lives of the people better and most importantly, we want to make the experience of tourists in Bhutan better.”
His Excellency Mr Alisher Kayumov, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Uzbekistan to Singapore, shared “I would like to express my sincere gratitude to Chan Brothers Travel and its partner, Drukair Corporation, for their initiative in implementing this long-awaited project. It is very important for many travellers eager to visit Uzbekistan as a direct flight will, for sure, significantly reduce travel time and make trips more comfortable. I hope the chartered flights, which will begin in December, will grow into an even larger project, making Uzbekistan more accessible and convenient for travellers from Singapore and neighbouring countries.”
Adventures to the Edge of the Map
Beyond the Silk Road and the Himalayas, the fair presents a showcase of rare and remote destinations that few others offer. Highlights include Antarctica’s surreal ice-scapes, the raw untamed beauty of Alaska, the vast silent wilderness of Canada’s Northwest Territories where Yellowknife offers a front-row view of the ethereal Northern Lights, and expedition cruises through Greenland’s glacial fjords into the unspoiled Arctic frontier.
