Play-dough is a great way for your children to get creative. It\'s also a great learning and playing tool for kids who are kinesthetic learners.

Wet ingredients: First step is to pour the warm water into a bowl and then add your food colouring – a few drops should be enough. Then add ½ a tablespoon of oil into the mixture. Dry ingredients: In another bowl, mix the flour and a ¼ cup of salt.

Next add the dry ingredients into the water and oil mixture you have prepared. This should be mixed well with a metal spoon until it resembles a lump of dough.
Smooth it out

Smooth it out

The play-dough is almost ready at this stage, but for extra smoothness it is recommended that you knead the dough mixture with your hands and roll it a couple of times over a cutting board. This will help create a smoother finish and more pliable dough.
Storing it

Storing it

The play-dough can be kept in sandwich bags – just remember to let the air out or alternatively they can be wrapped in cling film. To increase the life of your play-dough it is recommended that you keep it in the fridge after playing.
