Exploring Heritage Through the Jackfruit
Date: 5 June 2025

Venue: Centre for Ethnobotany, Singapore Botanic Gardens
Fee: $70 Early Bird / $80 Standard
Educators, this one is for you! Held in collaboration with storyteller Hafiz Rashid, botanical art studio Wild Dot, and culinary advocate Ms Suria of Dapur Cahaya, this workshop dives into Malay heritage through folktales, natural ink painting, and jackfruit-based cooking.
HAN at Punggol: Discover Hidden Stories
Date: 6 to 15 June 2025

Explore Punggol like never before with HAN@Punggol, presented by NHB and OH! Open House. Experience art installations like “Colours on Shore,” hands-on workshops such as Printed Landscapes, and cultural sessions led by local artists—perfect for families wanting to uncover Punggol’s heritage and nature.
Tales from the Nusantara: Under the Sea
Date: 14 June 2025
Time: 10am to 11am
Venue: Tanah dan Air Heritage Garden, West Coast Park
Fee: $16 per parent-child pair ($8 per extra child)
Listen to magical stories from the Orang Seletar community shared by storyteller Suhaili Safari. Dive into three unforgettable encounters with sea creatures, bringing to life the mystery and wonder of maritime folklore.
Kebaya Catwalk: Collect and Celebrate
Date: 24 March to 16 June 2025
Venue: Various locations islandwide
Celebrate the UNESCO-recognised kebaya heritage with charming cat keychains dressed in kebayas! Created by Nanyang Polytechnic’s School of Design and Media, these limited-edition collectibles are free via vending machines—just play a game and grab one before they run out.
Children’s Season 2025: Theme of Belonging
Date: 31 May to 29 June 2025
Venue: Children’s Museum Singapore
Children’s Season returns with a focus on Belonging. Organised by CMSG and supported by NHB and the Museum Roundtable, this month-long celebration features performances, workshops, and engaging activities designed to help children discover their place in home, community, and country.
Monumental Hunt in the Civic District
Date and Time: Recurring, usually every 3rd Saturday of the month (9.30am to 12pm)
Fee: $55 per participant
Embark on an outdoor puzzle hunt featuring nine National Monuments in the Civic District. Guided by a game master, this heritage adventure is inspired by escape rooms and treasure hunts—ideal for families with older kids.
Into the Hawkerverse: Ongoing Exhibition
Venue: Children’s Museum Singapore
Timing: 9am, 11am, 2pm, 4pm (entry by timeslot)
Fee: Free for Singaporeans/PRs; $10 per child, $15 per adult for tourists (subject to GST)
Step into Singapore’s hawker culture at this immersive, child-curated exhibition. Through object-based learning and hands-on fun, children 12 and below can discover the vibrant world of hawker food and culture.
