On 9 April 2025, at the World Airport Awards ceremony held at the Passenger Terminal EXPO in Madrid, Singapore Changi Airport was honoured as the World’s Best Airport 2025 for the 13th time—an unmatched record in the awards’ history (Skytrax).
Changi also earned multiple other accolades at the same event: World’s Best Airport Dining, World’s Best Airport Washrooms, and Best Airport in Asia—solidifying its leadership not just overall, but across core passenger experience pillars.
Dining, Design & Comfort Redefined
This year’s recognition for Best Airport Dining reflects Changi’s expansive and curated culinary offerings—boasting over 200 outlets in Jewel, Terminals 1–4, from Bib Gourmand–awarded street food to Japanese, Chinese and local kiosk favourites.
The inaugural World’s Best Airport Washrooms Award also went to Changi—a first awarded in 2025—thanks to high cleanliness, design innovation, and passenger feedback. Tokyo Haneda and Incheon ranked second and third respectively.
As the Best Airport in Asia, Changi was recognised for combining world-class amenities, service excellence, and operational efficiency to represent the region at its finest.
Service Excellence Rooted in Singapore Spirit
Mr Yam Kum Weng, CEO of Changi Airport Group, emphasised that the award reflects “the unwavering commitment of our staff and community to service excellence,” pledging continued innovation as air travel grows again post-pandemic.
Skytrax CEO Edward Plaisted highlighted that Changi’s recognition for dining diversity and washroom standards underscores elements that matter greatly to passengers—differentiators beyond mere infrastructure.
More Than Just an Airport
In SG60 year, Changi’s repeated global recognition is emblematic of Singapore’s ethos: elevating quality relentlessly and making every touchpoint memorable. Whether it’s transit lounges or dining concourses, Changi continues to shape visitor experiences with creativity and care.
The airport remains a national landmark—not just a facility, but a symbol of Singapore’s global openness, hospitality, and ability to exceed expectations—even in mundane moments like dining or restroom breaks.
