This July, the Singapore Botanic Gardens invites the public to join in a month-long celebration filled with heritage, nature, and floral beauty. Kicking off on 19 July 2025, the Gardens will commemorate a series of significant anniversaries with engaging activities and special events for all ages.
A Year of Milestones
In 2025, the Gardens marks multiple milestones:

10th anniversary of its UNESCO World Heritage Site inscription

150th anniversary of the Singapore Herbarium and the Library of Botany and Horticulture
-
30th anniversary of the National Orchid Garden
These achievements coincide with Singapore’s 60th year of independence (SG60) and are part of the Celebrations in our Parks and Gardens organised by the National Parks Board (NParks).
Singapore Botanic Gardens Heritage Festival
19 to 27 July 2025
Families and heritage lovers are invited to explore a dynamic line-up of events during the Heritage Festival. The Gardens will come alive with musical performances, outdoor film screenings, guided tours, exhibitions, and interactive programmes across its scenic grounds.
Highlights include:

Themed guided tours, including night walks through the Gardens and a deep dive into the Singapore Herbarium dating back to 1790

“Race Against Time – Science Behind a Botanic Garden Tour” exploring the scientific legacy behind plant conservation

Exhibitions at the Heritage Museum, Botanical Art Gallery, and Centre for Ethnobotany

“Planting Memories” exhibition at CDL Green Gallery and People’s Gallery, showcasing stories and reflections from the community

Singapore Garden Festival (SGF) Orchid Show
19 to 27 July 2025
Flower enthusiasts will not want to miss the SGF Orchid Show, presented in partnership with the Orchid Society of South East Asia (OSSEA). Held at the National Orchid Garden, this showcase features:

A vibrant MarketPlace along Maranta Avenue near the garden entrance
