Oh, the season of cheer is here. You can hear it everywhere, the sweet sound of carols around every street corner. It makes you want to get into the Christmas spirit too! Here’s how you can get your kids involved! Check out a few D.I.Y videos below. They’re pretty simple and hassle-free and kids will just love them.

It ain’t Christmas without a tree, but it may be a little troublesome to put up and take down. So, here’s an idea—create a miniature one for your child with your child.

2. Pop-up Christmas Card

Ok, it is not that simple but it is not that hard either. Impress the husband with a handmade card from you and the kids! Watch how it’s done and decide for yourself if you want to make one too.

Ask your kid to create a mini guardian angel to keep watch over him/her. The video below will take you on a step-by-step approach to making an angel that you can hang on your Christmas tree for everyone to see or on the doorknob of your child’s room – she’ll bring nothing but sweet Christmas dreams!

4. Rudolph Cupcakes

Making merry and eating inevitably come hand in hand. To fuel your festive appetite we found this very adorable Rudolph cupcake-making tutorial video that you might like. Trust us, your kid will be delighted to see an edible Rudolph the red-nosed reindeer. Tip: Consume the red nose first.

5. Paper Snowflakes

It does not matter if we don’t have snow here in Singapore, we can create some of our own. Plus, ours won’t melt the way real snow does, and you’re free to make them as huge or miniature as you want!

6. Sock Snowmen

We just showed you how to make snowflakes – let’s take it one level up and show you how you can make snowmen! Pins, socks, ribbon and voila – here’s Frosty. Don’t let your children miss out on a white Christmas just because it doesn’t physically snow.

7. Snow Globes

Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow! Just give these crafty little jars a shake and watch snowflakes of glitter fall gently upon trees and tiny Christmas ornaments. You might have to pop out to a craft shop like Spotlight or Artfriend to get stuff like glycerin – though we heard you can swap it for a liquid make-up remover to give the same effect.
