A Party at Snow City & The Cliff!

Snow City & The Cliff

Snow City & The Cliff

This year, for my son Ziv’s 9th birthday party, he chose to celebrate it at Snow City and The Cliff.

I was more than happy with his choice and for us to all celebrate Ziv’s birthday in a cooler climate, something that can be very difficult to find in Singapore! Also, with a party held at both Snow City and The Cliff, there would be something fun for all the kids and parents coming to enjoy.

The Cliff

The Cliff

So the plan was to go rock climbing at The Cliff, have a lunch break and then head on over to the icy cold Snow City for some snow tubing and sledging.

Before climbing The Cliff, we all had to get suited and booted.

The Cliff is Singapore’s first-of-its-kind vertigo climbing wall. Since it’s pretty new, all the equipment appeared to be in good working order.

The staff helped all the kids to put on their rock climbing gear and helmets, and we all headed outside.

Different Levels for All Ages!

We could see The Cliff’s 15-metre walls as soon as we stepped out, with it’s bright coloured climbing rocks.

The Cliff has 10 different walls, so there are lots of options with easy, medium and difficult levels to suit all rock climbing capabilities for ages 4 and above. This was great for my 4-year-old daughter, Netta, as she got to climb too.

As there are so many walls and lots of staff on hand, all the kids got to climb on the different levels they wanted to try. Us parents were encouraged to take part so even my Husband gave rock climbing a go!

Helpful & Friendly Staff

All the staff at The Cliff were extremely friendly and were amazing with the kids when explaining all the safety instructions. They were very experienced, hands-on and happy to help out with all the kids.

As the kids took turns to climb the walls, we were all cheering them on to climb up to the next rock and to see who could climb the quickest!

As it was quite a hot day, some of us parents stood in a shaded area where we could still watch all the kids and take lots of photos.

Lunch & A Cool Down!

Lunch & A Cool Down!

After being out in the sun and working up a sweat climbing The Cliff, we were all more than ready for our lunch!

With the party package chosen, we all had hotdogs, fries and drinks, all at great value!

The service was super easy as a restaurant within the complex supplied the food and we could even order extra drinks.

Huge Party Room

Huge Party Room

The party hall itself was held in a huge room, which was decorated with birthday banners and balloons.

They even provided a banner with Ziv's name, which he absolutely loved! The party room also had snowflakes hanging from the ceiling to help tie in the Winter Wonderland theme of Snow City that we were going to next.

The party room came complete with a sound system and a microphone, which came in very handy when we were playing the party games.

The organisers set up a special table for Ziv’s birthday cake, which was a great backdrop for us to take photos of him cutting the cake! So, after Ziv cut his cake and everyone had had their lunch, it was on to Snow City…

Snow City

Snow City

Having not been to Snow City before Ziv’s birthday party and trying to plan ahead, I brought along extra coats and boots for the kids.

These weren’t needed at all as Snow City provided everything, even coats, which were all in great condition. You can even rent or purchase waterproof pants and socks, if you're really feeling the cold!

Dino World Ice Gallery

Knowing that we were about to visit Snow City’s Winter Wonderland, the kids got super excited and loved wrapping up warm with their huge coats!

Before heading in to the ice slope, we visited the Dino World Ice Gallery, which is home to over 20 beautiful ice sculptures. There’s even a slide made of ice, which all the kids rushed to take turns on.

A Winter Wonderland

We all wandered round looking at the amazing ice art and were greeted by a huge snowman which we managed to take some great photos with.

Snow City also has their own photographers, so you can get professional pictures taken with the snowman or while you're sliding down the slopes!

The kids all grabbed their rubber tubes and this is where the fun really began. We were all slipping and sliding down the slope and you can even sit more than two in the tubes.

So parents with younger kids got to sit and slide down together.

Snow Tubing

Snow City itself is Singapore’s first and only indoor snow centre. The entire place is filled with snow and is indeed very cold!

When the kids entered the Snow Chamber, they were filled with the excitement of being able to experience the sub-zero temperatures.

Inside the Snow Chamber is Snow City’s main attraction, the snow slope. The Slope is covered in snow and is three-stories high!

By the end of the day, the kids were definitely worn out from rock climbing, dancing and sledging. We were all ready to go home!

Hometime!

Hometime!

Ziv’s birthday was a perfect mix of different activities with both rock climbing at The Cliff and sledging at Snow City.

The day was full of fun, with something that was suitable for everyone that came to the party - young and old - which my husband and Netta definitely proved.

So, if you’re looking for a unique party venue for your kid’s next birthday, Snow City and The Cliff are well worth checking out.
