Junior is probably physically and mentally drained from the year of studying and preparing, so it is important that you recognize the effort that they put in!

It must be overwhelming having just finished such an important exam and then having to make a decision on what schools and other options are available. Help your child through this thought process!

We know you have great expectations of your child and it can be frustrating if said expectations are not met. However, you need to bear in mind that this is not about you. You are not your child's results.

If your child has met or exceeded their set goals and expectations, acknowledge and celebrate this fact. They need to know that they've done well and they've made you proud.

5. Relationship over exam results

Remember, this is one of the many exams in your child's entire life. There will be many more along the way and it is key that you do not damage your relationship with your child over their results.
